WHAT CAME ABOUT?
Beckham, who used to lead England, made the same move to Santiago Bernabeu that current England star Bellingham did in 2023. The 21-year-old has been a big surprise in Spain. In his first season, he scored 23 goals and won both La Liga and the Champions League.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Beckham praised Bellingham’s actions and copied her famous party on social media. She also did so well that she was chosen to be the cover star for EAFC 25. Because Beckham has his own “Icon” card, Bellingham got together with him as part of the pitch for that game.
WHAT THE BELLINGHAM SAY
In an interview for his YouTube show “Out of the Floodlights,” Bellingham talked about meeting Becks and said, “It’s an honor, you know.” Always remember not to meet your heroes, and Beckham is one of them. When I met him, I thought, “He’s amazing, and he seems like a really nice guy,” even though he’s famous and has done a lot in his work and life. You can get used to that if it’s on the cover of video games, but he makes me look a little worse.
DID YOU KNOW?
Bellingham also said this about becoming the face of EA Sports’ newest football game: “I’ve played every EA game since I was six or seven years old.” Having games with people you never thought you’d play against or meet is one of the best things about sitting around a tiny TV with a couple of controllers that are worn out from being thrown around the room. Then all of a I’m on the cover and playing with these other guys. I’m thankful that I have the chance to do it; it feels really strange.
