France player covers his face on team meeting
Central defender Ibrahima Konate attracted attention with his face-covering outfit when he arrived to join the French team at Clairefontaine headquarters on October 7.
The French player stepped out of the car in a neon green mesh shirt zipped up to cover his face, over a designer suit.
The Sun reported that Konate approached the photographers and laughed, saying: ‘You don’t know who I am? Try to guess’. The centre-back, who was wearing a Liverpool shirt, then zipped up to a bright smile.
The French star’s ‘eccentric’ fashion style became a topic of discussion on social media. Many fans believe that Konate should focus on his expertise instead of attracting attention with his appearance. The 25-year-old centre-back has been called up to the national team since 2022 and has played 17 matches.
Recently, the French team’s team meetings have been likened to fashion shows. The ‘Les Bleus’ players express their personalities through their outfits. In the photo, goalkeeper Mike Maignan wears black to join the team on a rainy day. The 29-year-old goalkeeper is playing for Milan.
