Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has added yet another accolade to his impressive legacy.
At 38 years old, Wayne is United’s all-time leading goal scorer and held the same distinction for England until Harry Kane surpassed him last year, having broken Sir Bobby Charlton’s record in 2015.
Coleen appeared to be having a fantastic evening with her husband.
The legendary striker has now been honored by Legends of Football, an annual awards ceremony in partnership with the Nordoff and Robbins music therapy charity, which brings together the worlds of football and music to celebrate the greatest names in the sport.
Sir Alex Ferguson has referred to the event as the “best night in the football social calendar,” and this year’s ceremony pays tribute to the former Everton star and England’s most capped women’s player, Fara Williams.
The Plymouth manager attended the gala at Grosvenor House in London with his wife Coleen and their son Kai, who is following in his father’s footsteps at United’s academy.
Before receiving the gong, Wayne expressed, “I am delighted to receive the 2024 Legends of Football award.”
