Jules Koundes has been dethroned as the “most bizarrely dressed player” of the French national team. This time, all eyes were on Ibrahima Konate, who appeared at the Clairefontaine training centre wearing a banana green veil.

When the Liverpool defender stepped out of the taxi, reporters were, not knowing who he was. The cameras were all pointed at the character dressed as a bank. “Open it up and see,” the reporters shouted. “It’s me, don’t you recognize me?”, Konate laughed loudly as he unzipped his veil.

Konate was also the first person to arrive at Clairefontaine. This training session of the French national team will not include Antoine Griezmann, who has announced his retirement from international football, Kylian Mbappe, who has a fitness problem, and Dayot Upamecano, who is injured.

The French national team will play two matches in the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League, visiting Israel on October 10 and facing Belgium four days later.

Let’s admire the impressive dressing style of the French national team stars during the Clairefontaine “fashion week”:
