Jude Bellingham has been practicing in a striker role with England while Lee Carsley explores a radical strategy for the Three Lions’ claʂh with Greece

Jude Bellingham has been working with England as a STRIKER while Lee Carsley thinks about a big change for their game against Greece.

This week, England’s interim boss Lee Carsley tried playing Jude Bellingham as a striker in practice as he thinks about sending a lot of attacking players to play Greece on Thursday.

It turns out that Carsley, who announced that John Stones would captain England in Harry Kane’s absence, put Bellingham, Cole Palmer, and Phil Foden in the same team for training before tonight’s game at Wembley. This comes days after he said it wasn’t possible to play all three of them together.

One of the setups that was looked at had Bellingham, a midfielder for Real Madrid, play as a deep-lying striker.

England interim manager Lee Carsley has experimented with playing Jude Bellingham as a striker in training this week as he considers unleashing a wealth of attacking talent on Greece on Thursday

England’s top choice for No. 9 Kane is hurt, so Bellingham could move up to play forward. Palmer and Foden have also been tried out by Carsley in center attacking roles.

Carsley suggested yesterday that Foden, a star player for Manchester City who was mostly used as a wide player by former England manager Gareth Southgate, is best when he plays through the middle.

Carlsen said, “Phil is an amazing player.” “We’re lucky to have someone with his skills and attitude, and we need to put him in places where he can really hurt the other team.”

You’re right, he can do it sometimes in wider places. But we need to change how we play to get the most out of him. He’ll be in the middle a lot of the time and wider when we don’t have the ball. Phil is most useful in the middle.

Fans have been begging England to play more offensively, and the idea that Bellingham, Palmer, and Foden might all start together will get them excited.

In the second half, Ollie Watkins or Dominic Solanke could come off the bench and play as more traditional players if Bellingham is used as a deep-lying forward. “Along with a few players who can play at No. 9, we have a lot of options in that spot,” Carsley said. Harry has been our best player for a long time, but I’m sure we have a Plan B.

The team is likely to include Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, and Anthony Gordon. Stones will start at center back with Levi Colwill from Chelsea.

Stones said, “It’s everything I dreamed of as a kid” when he was named captain. I can’t thank Lee enough for making this happen.

“We had a great talk, but I didn’t know what to say.” I didn’t know what to say.
