Jude Bellingham is training as a striker with England as Lee Carsley contemplates a bold change for the Three Lions’ match against Greece

Jude Bellingham has been practicing with England as a STRIKER, while Lee Carsley is thinking about making a drastic change ahead of the Three Lions’ match against Greece.

As he considers unleashing a wealth of attacking skill on Greece on Thursday, England interim manager Lee Carsley has experimented this week in training by playing Jude Bellingham as a striker.

Days after questioning if Bellingham, Cole Palmer, and Phil Foden could play in the same starting lineup, it is revealed that Carsley—who declared that John Stones would captain England in Harry Kane’s absence—has the three players in the same squad for practice ahead of tonight’s Wembley match.

A configuration that featured Real Madrid midfielder Bellingham as a deep-lying striker was one of the ones that was investigated.

The No. 9 pick of England Bellingham might play more forward because to Kane’s injury. Palmer and Foden in center attacking roles have also been tried by Carsley.

Speaking yesterday, Carsley made a suggestion that Foden, a star player for Manchester City who was primarily utilized as a wide player under previous England manager Gareth Southgate, is most effective through the middle.

Carsley remarked, “Phil is an amazing player.” “We must make sure he is placed in areas where he can truly impact the opposition. We are extremely fortunate to have someone with his talent and mentality.”

In wider positions, he may sometimes do well, but we’ll need to adjust our style of play to maximize his potential. When we lose possession, he will be much more central and wider. Phil works best in the center.

The of Bellingham, Palmer, and Foden sharing the starting lineup will thrill supporters who have been clamoring for England to take up a more approach.

Ollie Watkins or Dominic Solanke may be utilized as substitutes later in the game to play as more traditional strikers if Bellingham is used as a deep-lying forward. Carsley continued, “We have a lot of options at No. 9 in addition to a few players who can play there.” We have a Plan B, I think, even if Harry has been our best player for a very long time.

Stones is slated to start at center back with Chelsea’s Levi Colwill, with Declan Rice, Anthony Gordon, and Bukayo Saka also expected to be named.

“It’s everything I dreamed of as a kid,” Stones remarked upon being named captain. I am really grateful to Lee for this wonderful time.

“I didn’t know what to say, but it was a great conversation.” I was a little taken aback.
