Liverpool are in of losing Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold at the end of the season, with the trio all out of contract in the summer of 2025. However, Football Insider believes that Van Dijk has given the green light to negotiate with Liverpool.

 

 

He has told close friends that he wants to stay at Anfield and is keen to extend his stay with Arne Slot’s side. Liverpool are also determined to complete the deal and keep their captain. The two sides are expected to open talks over a new contract soon.

Despite being 33, Van Dijk a mainstay for the Reds and has maintained an incredible form since the start of the season. Liverpool’s defence has conceded just two goals and kept five clean sheets in the Premier League.

If a new deal is agreed, Liverpool could be the last major club Van Dijk plays for before retiring.

Meanwhile, keeping Alexander-Arnold or Salah seems more complicated because these two players have received many lucrative invitations from the Middle East and Real Madrid.
