Vinicius Jr and Endrick may face an international ban following a strange demand from Brazil’s president

Vinicius Jr. and Endrick could be banned internationally after the president of Brazil makes an odd demand.

The president of Brazil wants to see players who practice their craft in their own land, which might mean that players like Rodrygo, Endrick, and Vinicius Junior could lose their jobs.

In discussions with football chiefs, Brazil’s president, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, has called for his team to only use players who play in their own country.

Vinicius Jr and Endrick are facing the possibility of an international ban due to a peculiar demand from the Brazilian president

Real Madrid players Vinicius Jr., Endrick, Eder Militao, and Rodrygo, as well as notable Premier League players Alisson Becker, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Bruno Guimaraes, would all be disqualified from representing Brazil if Lula had his way. In a radio interview, the president declared that he had even persuaded Ednaldo Rodrigues, the president of the Brazilian Football Federation, to search locally for international talent.

The head of South America harshly criticized Brazilian athletes who play overseas, saying they don’t measure up to “Garrincha or Romario.” As an alternative, he contended that they were ‘a group of young players who are not yet stars’.

Brazil’s poor form is accompanied by harsh criticism of players, notably a group from Los Blancos who achieved success in La Liga, the Champions League, and the UEFA Super Cup. A recent loss to Paraguay and an early elimination from the Copa America quarterfinal against Uruguay have made Dorival Junior’s tenure as manager challenging.

This week, Brazil’s Botafogo representatives Igor Jesus and Luiz Henrique scored goals in a 2-1 victory over Chile. Maybe their significant involvement gave the president the confidence to make public comments.

President Lula declared, “Those who are abroad are not better than those who are here.” “In Brazil, there are good players of the same quality (as those abroad), so give opportunities to those who are here.”

Out of 23 players, just seven were from Brazilian teams in Junior’s current roster. Nonetheless, the Brazilian manager started Jesus right in front of Real Madrid rookie Endrick. The 18-year-old, who joined from Palmeiras in the summer, is still settling into the Spanish capital, and the coach gave his reasoning for the choice.

“Endrick is still trying to get to know his club, his moment, arriving at the biggest club in world football, having a lot of competition, but still being able to make his point,” he stated. “He just needs to find his place on the team at the right time. I believe that Igor’s experience and this particular moment are a little different. Who knows, for a game this huge, having guys with that profile might be crucial.”
