League of Nations. Aurélien Tchouaméni, first captain of the Blues sent off… since Zidane

On Monday, October 14, France Belgium 2-1 on the 4th day of the League of Nations, despite Aurélien Tchouaméni’s red card a quarter of an hour from the end. According to Opta, this is the first sending off of a captain of the French team (at kick-off) since Zinedine Zidane’s famous headbutt on Marco Materazzi in the 2006 World Cup final.
