Disappointing Update for Grizzlies Star Ja Morant Before Game Against the Pacers

Ja Morant is anticipated to play a crucial role this season as he makes his comeback from a shoulder injury that sidelined him for most of last year.

Reports indicate that he has displayed remarkable skills during training, showcasing improved shooting and explosive playmaking abilities. His determination to lead the Memphis Grizzlies back into playoff contention, especially with the addition of new teammate Zach Edey, positions him as a vital player in the team’s pursuit of success this season.

After facing a challenging previous year, Morant is eager to prove himself and is expected to be a driving force for the team, making his performance essential to their aspirations.

According to ESPN’s Injury Report, the 25-year-old remains listed as ‘Day-To-Day,’ meaning a final decision regarding his place in the starting lineup will be made only a few hours before the Grizzlies face off against the Pacers. After missing the last two games against the Charlotte Hornets and the Chicago Bulls, sitting out against the Pacers could indicate that head coach Taylor Jenkins is being cautious with his point guard.

In the Grizzlies’ preseason opener against the Dallas Mavericks, Morant suffered a rolled ankle after stepping on the ball and exited the game in the second quarter.

However, he returned later, alleviating concerns about a more serious injury. Just prior to the game against the Hornets, Coach Jenkins revealed that an MRI confirmed Morant had a mild ankle sprain.
