Bruce Willis’ daughter Tallulah gave an emotional update on her famous father amid his aphasia and dementia battle

Tallulah, Bruce Willis’s daughter, offered an emotional update on her well-known father among his aphasia and dementia struggle.

During an appearance on Today Wednesday morning, the 30-year-old actress spoke candidly about the situation of her 69-year-old dad – who was observed on a drive on Saturday.

Following his fight with a brain condition called aphasia, the sixth sense star’s family confirmed his diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in February 2023 shortly after he resigned from performing.

‘He’s doing stable, which in this case is good,’ Tallulah remarked on the morning discussion and news show regarding the Die Hard actor. Though there are difficult days, there is a lot of affection.

“And it really showed me to not take any moment for granted and I truly believe we would be best friends. I truly believe he is quite proud of me.

She also underlined the need of living in the present and right moment with her father.

Tallulah also spoke negotiating autism following a diagnosis made last year at the age of 29.

She clarified: ‘I was misdiagnosed for many years, so only at 29 obtained my diagnosis, which is rather frequent, notably for adult women…

‘I’m really high functioning autism; my issues are more in sensory, so being highly sensitive to the world; rather than more frequently people assume it’s communication.'”

The celebrity also shared her experience learning of the diagnosis.

Tallulah remarked: “It was quite poignant. It felt like relief. To be honest, I believed I was somewhat broken and despised myself; thus, to find out that the components of myself I felt were either diseases or wrong or just too much for this world are actually normal and only require maybe a little bit more tools.”

Meanwhile, Bruce is father to five daughters: Mabel Ray, 12, and Evelyn, 10, with wife Emma Heming Willis, 46; and Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 30, with ex-wife Demi Moore, 61.

Saying that “given the givens, he is in a stable place,” Tallulah’s mother Moore, 61, also recently updated fans on the health of her ex-spouse during a Friday interview on The Drew Barrymore Show.

Moore, who married Willis from 1987 to 2000, revealed how she had counseled her kids on handling the long-running family health crisis.

‘What I tell to my kids is you meet them where they’re at,’ Moore stated in the appearance. You hold on to who they are in this moment, not to who they were or what you want them to be.

From that, one finds great beauty and delight as well as love and kindness. I visit every week while in Los Angeles and truly value the time we all spend.

Rumer Willis posted an image of herself clutching her father’s hand in an August 22 Instagram Stories post responding to a query regarding how the actor has been doing during his medical issues.

Rumer, who was seen with a mystery man Sunday, added, “He is fantastic. I adore him so very much. Thank you.

Rumer revealed on the Today show in May that her father had been acting “good” and was bonding with her one-year-old daughter Louetta, whom she shares with ex Derek Richard Thomas.

She stated, “I actually got to see him right before I came out” to New York, “Lou is just starting to walk a little bit, and she was walking over to him, and it was so sweet.”

It’s great since, through and through, my dad seems to be a girl dad. It almost unlocks that kind of small-kid, girl-dad behavior. He is quite sweet with her.

Saying that “given the givens, he is in a stable place,” Tallulah’s 61-year-old mother Moore also recently informed viewers on the health of her ex-spouse on a Friday interview on The Drew Barrymore Show.

Rumer in the appearance stated she and her cousins had been open about the family health issue in hopes of raising awareness to others in a like situation.

She said, “Our vulnerability and transparency as a family about what he’s going through to me is so important,” “because if it can have any impact on another family that is struggling in any way with something like this, or bring more attention to the disease in hopes of finding a cure or anything that can be of service to anybody else.”

More than two years away from his health fight going public, Willis’s aphasia diagnosis was announced by relatives including his daughters, wife, and ex-wife on Instagram March 30, 2022.

The Hollywood icon reportedly has some health problems and has since been diagnosed with aphasia, which is affecting his cognitive skills.

Bruce is leaving the career that has meant so much to him in line with great thought and consideration. For our family, this is a truly difficult period; we are so grateful for your ongoing love, kindness, and support.

They went on: “We wanted to bring his supporters in since we know how much he means to you, as you do to him. We are navigating this as a strong family unit.” As Bruce constantly advises, “Live it up” and together we intend to do just that.

Later on February 16, 2023 the family said that Willis had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), stating “the most common form of dementia” and noted that “there are currently no treatments for the disease”.

‘As Bruce’s health advances, we hope that any media attention can be focused on casting a light on this disease that needs considerably more awareness and research,’ the family stated. Bruce always believed in using his voice in the world to help others and to bring attention about significant concerns both individually and publicly.

“We know in our hearts that – if he could today – he would want to respond by bringing global attention and a connectedness with those who are also dealing with this crippling disease and how it influences so many individuals and their families.”

‘A condition that impacts your capacity to communicate,’ the Mayo Clinic defines aphasia as “can affect your speech, as well as the way you write and understand both spoken and written language.'”

The actor’s family withheld information about the likely reasons of his aphasia, which has several possible sources.

The disorder might be a prelude to a brain tumor or Alzheimer’s disease or accompany a head injury or stroke.Usually treated with speech therapy and taught techniques for nonverbal communication, patients living with the disorder are
