Despite not being able to return to play due to injury, Dani Carvajal still plays an important role at Real Madrid.

According to Marca, the Spanish defender begins his new role as a spiritual leader, inspiring his teammates.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti affirmed Carvajal’s influence even when he cannot play. “We lost him as a player, but not as a leader,” he affirmed.

And true to Ancelotti’s words, Carvajal did not waste too much time in starting his new role. He was present at the Valdebebas training center to watch his teammates practice and encourage them.

“Carvajal has started his recovery process at Real Madrid after a serious injury,” Real Madrid said in a statement. “The whole team is concerned about Carvajal’s condition. He also greeted his teammates and wished them good luck before the match against Borussia Dortmund.”

Carvajal’s arrival brought joy to Real Madrid players. Vinicius Jr. posted a photo with Carvajal on Instagram with the caption: “Nice to see you again, brother.”

Ancelotti appreciates Carvajal’s strength and leadership ability. “He will be here and work with us. We will take advantage of Carvajal’s ability to inspire, which is as important as his physical strength,” said the Italian coach.

 

 

 

 

The 2024/25 season ended with Carvajal injured in the 2-0 win over Villarreal in round 9 of La Liga on October 6. In the second half’s injury time, the Spanish defender collided with an opposing player near the touchline. Carvajal lay on the ground and screamed in. Slow-motion video shows the star’s leg was severely deformed.
