Liverpool have now scored in eight consecutive games

Liverpool’s good start under Arne Slot kept going with Darwin Nunez’s goal making it a perfect 3-0 record in the Champions League.

Nunez scored a goal from close range in the 27th minute against RB Leipzig in his fourth start under Slot. The Reds won their eleventh straight game in all competitions under Slot.

Nunez, a forward for Uruguay, put in a great performance. Peter Gulacsi, a former Liverpool reserve goalie, tipped Mohamed Salah’s header over the crossbar just before halftime, which would have been the game-winning goal.

Gulacsi also stopped Virgil van Dijk when the defender wasn’t being watched at a corner.

Liverpool played well in Germany. In the 38th minute, Nunez, who was very dangerous, was clipped by Willi Orban, and Liverpool thought they should have been given a penalty, but the officials ignored their appeals.

Once or twice, the Reds were worried, but they were able to enjoy an eighth straight win in all competitions.

At 0-0, goalie Caoimhin Kelleher almost looked bad when he made a bad clearance with his head after running off his line, giving Benjamin Sesko a chance whose curling shot missed the mark.

They made up for it by making smart saves to keep Sesko and Xavi Simons out.

RB Leipzig also had two goals ruled out for offside, but Liverpool managed the game well to get the win and put themselves in a good position for their home Champions League games against Real Madrid (15 times), who is managed by former Reds midfielder Xabi Alonso, and Bayer Leverkusen.

With this win, Liverpool now has three wins in a row in Europe’s top club football league, tied with Aston Villa in the Premier League.
