🚨 OFFICIAL: Coach Ten Hag bids an emotional farewell to Man Utd, Fernandes pays tribute to his former coach

Former Man Utd coach Erik Ten Hag moved people when he hugged and said goodbye to an employee at the airport after being fired on the evening of October 28. Bruno Fernandes expressed his gratitude to his former Dutch coach.

Ten Hag was sacked by Man Utd when the “Red Devils” dropped to 14th place in the Premier League table after a 1-2 loss to West Ham on October 27. The 54-year-old strategist ended a turbulent 2-1/2 year tenure with the Manchester team.

Ten Hag left Manchester to return to his native Netherlands shortly after receiving notice of termination from the coaching staff. While boarding the plane, the former Man Utd manager was seen hugging and saying goodbye to a staff member at Manchester Airport.

The Red Devils have appointed Ruud Van Nistelrooy as interim manager in a statement paying tribute to the Dutchman: “Erik Ten Hag has left his position as first-team coach of Man Utd.

He was appointed in April 2022 and has led the club to two domestic trophies, winning the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024. We are grateful to Ten Hag for everything he has done during his time with the club and wish him well for the future.”

Man Utd captain Fernandes later took to social media to post a tribute to Ten Hag, just an hour after he received confirmation from the club.

“Thank you for everything! I appreciate the trust and the moments we had together at this club, and wish you all the best for the future.

Although I know the past time has been the most difficult period for the entire team, I hope the fans can remember the good things that coach Ten Hag has done for our club,” Fernandes shared on his personal Instagram .
