Liverpool goalkeeper impresses with fingertip save
Liverpool booked their place in the League Cup quarter-finals with a 3-2 away win over Brighton & Hove Albion.
Arne Slot rotated his starting line-up to rest key players, with Jarell Quansah, Conor Bradley and Tyler Morton all starting, with Liverpool’s youngsters impressing in the 3-2 win.
Commentator Lee Hendrie was impressed with another Liverpool talent. Speaking on Sky Sports about the game, the former player praised Vitezslav Jaros after a second-half save from the young goalkeeper, who was making his first start for the Reds.
Hendrie said: “What a save. He was just in the air. Adingra must have thought he had scored but Jaros in goal, how did he manage to flick the ball out with his fingertip.”
“It was a great save. Adingra didn’t do much wrong, he headed the ball towards the post and it was a really good save from Jaros, with his fingertips and off the post.”
Jaros will be proud of his performance against Brighton. The Reds are through to the next round of the League Cup and return to Premier League action this weekend, hosting Brighton.
