On the night of November 3, Man Utd hosted Chelsea in round 10 of the Premier League.
Both teams entered the match with determination, launching strong attacks from the very first minutes. In the 8th minute, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer had a dangerous shot opportunity in the penalty area, but Man Utd’s defense played with concentration and promptly blocked it.
The home side then responded with a dangerous run from Marcus Rashford down the wing, but no player inside could get to the ball.
In this situation, Man Utd players demanded a penalty because Rashford was tackled roughly, but the referee refused and let the match continue.
In the following minutes, the match was interrupted by many fouls from both teams. Before the first 45 minutes ended, the “Red Devils” almost opened the scoring when Rashford’s shot hit the crossbar after an accurate pass from Bruno Fernandes.
In the second half, both Man Utd and Chelsea increased the tempo of the match to get an early equalizer. The home team had a clear chance with Garnacho’s shot in the penalty area, but the striker’s shot lacked power and did not cause any trouble for the visitors.
However, what had to happen happened when Van Nistelrooy’s army took the lead after captain Bruno Fernandes successfully converted a penalty kick in the 70th minute.
However, Chelsea showed that they were not an easy team to bully when they immediately equalized 3 minutes later, and the scorer was Moises Caicedo with a one-touch finish.
