Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane’s famous lockers from Real Madrid will be up for auction in the club’s first-ever mega auction, with bids starting at an incredible £10k.
Following the completion of the Santiago Bernabeu reconstruction, Real Madrid is auctioning off a number of iconic artifacts from the club’s history. The primary draw for buyers is expected to be the legendary lockers from their dressing room.
A 24-locker collection will include changing room cabinets that were once credited to Luis Figo, David Beckham, Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema, Zinedine Zidane, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The lockers will go up for auction for two weeks, with a reserve price of £10k set for each display and bidding opening on November 12.
After finishing their magnificent £500 million makeover of the historic stadium in September of last year, Madrid made the decision to put parts of the team’s trophy-laden past up for sale.
For the first time ever, a locker from a European championship squad will be up for auction. The objects will be on display at Sotheby’s London Galleries during the bidding period.
Given the worldwide attractiveness of each superstar who contributed to the club’s incredible success, Lockers, which Ronaldo, Zidane, and Beckham formerly used, are anticipated to recover the greatest amount.
With the former dressing room having won six Premier League and Champions League titles throughout its existence, each locker will be shown as it was for the final season before the stadium reconstruction.
