As part of the club’s first-ever super auction, the famous lockers that Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane used will be sold. Bidding starts at a huge £10,000.
After finishing the Santiago Bernabeu renovation, Real Madrid is auctioning off a number of important items from the club’s past. The most popular item is likely to be the famous lockers from the players’ locker room.
A 24-locker collection will include changing room cabinets that have been linked to Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Zinedine Zidane, Sergio Ramos, David Beckham, and Luis Figo in the past.
Bidding on the lockers will start on November 12 and go on for two weeks. There will be a £10k reserve price on each display.
Madrid put up for sale some of the club’s trophy-filled history after finishing the stunning £500 million makeover of the famous stadium in September of last year.
During the bidding period, the items will be shown at Sotheby’s London Galleries. This is the first time in history that a locker from a European title team has been sold at auction.
Lockers that Ronaldo, Zidane, and Beckham used are likely to fetch the best price, since all three players are world-famous and helped the club have a lot of success.
Each locker will look the same as it did in the last season before the stadium renovation. The old locker room had six Premier League and Champions League wins to its name.
