Mac Allister at of suspension, Liverpool face headache ahead of crucial fixtures
Midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has been a key player for Liverpool since the start of the season but is facing the of a one-match suspension.
Mac Allister has featured in almost every Premier League game this season. Liverpool manager Arne Slot has praised the Argentine midfielder’s versatility.
However, Mac Allister’s form has been poor in the recent match against his former club Brighton. He was taken off in the 66th minute after picking up his fourth consecutive yellow card in four games. The former Boca Juniors player was booked in first-half stoppage time for a foul on Brighton striker Danny Welbeck.
According to Premier League rules, any player who receives five yellow cards in the first 19 games of the season will be suspended for one match. As well as the Brighton game, Mac Allister also picked up bookings in wins against Crystal Palace and Chelsea, as well as in a 2-2 draw with title rivals Arsenal.
