Carlo Ancelotti gets criticized by Federico Valverde’s wife following AC Milan’s loss.

Carlo Ancelotti has come under fire from Federico Valverde’s wife after Real Madrid lost to AC Milan 3-1 at home in the Champions League.

At the Santiago Bernabeu, Milan took the lead early thanks to Malick Thiaw, but Vinicius Junior handed the home team a penalty to tie the score. Then, just before halftime, Alvaro Morata scored for his old team, and in the second half, Tijjani Reijnders scored his fourth goal in three games to give Milan the victory.

Bonino was upset after her husband was taken off at half-time in Real Madrid’s 3-1 defeat to AC Milan in the Champions League. In a season that is proving to be a tactical headache for Ancelotti, the Uruguayan midfielder started on the right of a four-man midfield, a decision that also irritated Bonino as she took to social media to vent her frustration

At halftime, Federico Valverde, a Uruguayan, was replaced from his starting position on the right wing for Madrid. At halftime, Aurelien Tchouameni, who had been yelled at by Madrid supporters throughout the first half at the Bernabeu, was also replaced.

Mina Bonino, Valverde’s wife, expressed her displeasure with Ancelotti’s choice to start her husband, a central midfielder, in a wider position for Madrid during the game. “Fede plays best as a midfielder,” Bonino remarked in response to a Madrid supporter on X. What are you discussing? When will it finally dawn on them that Fede is not a winger?

Bonino responded, “He played as a winger,” to a criticism of Valverde’s contribution to Morata’s Milan goal from another user on X. Are you aware? Because idiots everywhere are criticized, but I have never seen strikers criticized for not dropping back.

Ancelotti responded, “From what people think on social media… for me it’s complicated,” in response to a question concerning Bonino’s remarks following Madrid’s loss. He had a back issue, so I pulled him off since I wasn’t sure he was fully fit. He seemed to have recovered because he exercised well yesterday, but I wasn’t at his best, so I took him off.”
