Dominik Szoboszlai kept his big Liverpool promise to his lady.
Dominik Szoboszlai kept a promise he made to his girlfriend before Thursday night’s 3-1 win over AC Milan at San Siro.
The Reds got back on track after their loss to Nottingham Forest on Saturday with goals from Ibrahima Konaté and Virgil van Dijk in the first half. The Hungarian midfielder then sealed the win with a goal in the second half after great work from Cody Gakpo.
In the beginning, Szoboszlai had a hard time making an impact. But after Liverpool scored, he looked like a completely different player, with endless energy and a better final ball. The manager had kept confidence in him during the second half, and his goal was the cherry on top of a great performance. Alan Shearer called him “the pick of the bunch.”
The promise Szoboszlai made to his girlfriend
Icon Borka Buzsik is Szoboszlai’s girlfriend. They made their relationship public in July, after Hungary was eliminated from the Euros in the group rounds.

Yesterday night, Buzsik was in the stands at San Siro. After the game, she posted a message on her Instagram story.
The story was a picture of the scoreboard that said 1-3, and she tagged Szoboszlai and wrote, “As you promised ❤️❤️❤️💞🏻.” It’s likely that Liverpool’s midfielder promised to score with his partner there.
