Arda Güler was born on February 25, 2005, in Ankara, the capital of Turkey.
He grew up in the Altındağ district of Ankara, under the careful guidance of his strict and meticulous parents. From a young age, he showed a deep love for sports, playing in local parks and streets with his friends, honing his football skills by kicking a ball around for countless hours.
Altındağ is home to several football clubs that compete in local leagues, and it was here that Güler’s natural talent as a footballer began to emerge, attracting the attention of both his parents and coaches.
Recognizing his potential, they encouraged him to pursue his passion, and he was signed by a local youth football club.
Güler began his youth career with Ankara club Gençlerbirliği in 2014 before joining Fenerbahçe’s youth squad in 2019.
On January 13, 2021, he signed a two-and-a-half-year professional contract with Fenerbahçe, and he quickly became regarded as a wonderkid with immense potential for the future. His hard work paid off when, on July 6, 2023, Spanish club Real Madrid announced the signing of Güler on a six-year contract, lasting until June 2029.
