Kylian Mbappé’s spending habits are notably different from those of many other wealthy football players. According to Forbes, he is currently the highest-paid footballer in the world, with an estimated $128 million earnings for the 2022-23 season, slightly surpassing Messi ($120 million) and Ronaldo ($100 million).
His transfer to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for $214 million in 2017, alongside teammate Neymar, ranks as one of the most expensive signings in football history.
At just 23 years old, Mbappé has already established himself as one of the elite players in the sport, and his net worth, which exceeded $82 million in 2018, is only expected to grow as his career advances.
Moreover, Mbappé is highly marketable, securing lucrative sponsorship deals with some of the biggest brands in sports. Despite his immense wealth, Mbappé is known for being more reserved when it comes to spending. Unlike many of his peers who indulge in extravagant vehicles and yachts, Mbappé keeps his shopping habits more modest and measured.
Given his intense work ethic on the field, one might expect Kylian Mbappé, known for his speed, to drive a flashy car like a Lamborghini or Ferrari.
However, it turns out that the French striker isn’t as extravagant when it comes to cars.
At just 19 years old, Mbappé won the World Cup in Russia, and at the time, he was likely too young to drive. Despite this, he has still managed to personalize a few of the vehicles he owns. These include a souped-up Volkswagen Tiguan SUV, the all-electric Volkswagen ID.4, and a $60,000 Audi A6 Avant, which he uses for everyday transport.
Mbappé has also recently purchased two luxurious Mercedes-Benz models: the $80,000 Mercedes-Benz GLE and the $150,000 Mercedes V-Class.
