Rasmus Hojlund struggled significantly against PAOK, despite putting in effort. The Manchester United star managed to complete only four out of six passes and lost four out of five ground duels

The interim manager has at least managed to steer the team back on a winning path, but the inconsistent form of his No. 9 remains a concern, despite his public support in the pre-match press conference.

Rasmus Hojlund, still young and inexperienced, is bound to have uneven performances, yet United needs more consistency from their main striker.

In this match, Hojlund struggled to retain the ball under pressure and seemed too casual in his passing.

Fortunately, a second-half brace from Amad Diallo proved decisive, with the Ivorian rediscovering his form under interim coach Ruud van Nistelrooy, following puzzling treatment by former manager Erik ten Hag.

While the incoming manager, Ruben Amorim, may have identified his preferred right-sided forward, the rest of the team’s performance left much to be desired, with creativity lacking in the final third.

The players appeared sluggish and showed little urgency against the Greek champions, highlighting a mentality shift needed once Amorim takes charge.

Viktor Gyökeres’s transformation from a Championship striker at Coventry City to one of Europe’s best at Sporting Lisbon is an inspiring example for Amorim to follow.
