Brazilian youngster Endrick made his debut for Real Madrid in a 1-0 friendly loss to AC Milan on Wednesday. While he didn’t leave a major impact on the game, coach Carlo Ancelotti still praised the 18-year-old’s abilities.
The match, held at Chicago’s Soldier Field with 61,568 fans in attendance, was highly anticipated for Endrick, with Real Madrid missing key stars like Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, and Rodrygo.
In his 45 minutes on the field, Endrick managed just one shot on target before being subbed out as part of a major lineup rotation by Ancelotti.
Following the game, Ancelotti cautioned fans against expecting too much from such a young player in his debut season at Real Madrid but highlighted his unique potential: “Endrick has something truly special.
He’s very quick, dangerous in tight spaces, has impressive agility, and all these qualities make him a remarkable talent. It’s rare to see a player his age with such abilities.”
Another player to watch is Arda Guler, who stood out throughout the game. Ancelotti commended Guler’s dedication during the break, noting his improved form upon return and predicting that the 2024-25 season could be a breakout one for the young Turkish international.
