The Denver Nuggets extended their winning streak to five games in the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season, securing a 122-120 victory over the Dallas Mavericks at Ball Arena.
The standout performance came from Nikola Jokic, who posted a remarkable 37 points, 18 rebounds, and 15 assists, making history as the first player to record such a stat line in a single NBA game.
Jokic was efficient in his 38 minutes on the court, shooting 13-of-21 from the field, including a perfect 3-of-3 from three-point range, and he also sank all eight of his free throws. Additionally, he contributed three steals to his all-around performance.
Meanwhile, Jokic’s European teammates, Slovenian Vlatko Cancar (who is recovering from a right ankle sprain) and Croatian Dario Saric (who remained on the bench), did not play.
For the Mavericks, Luka Doncic, who had been listed as questionable with a left groin strain, played nearly 41 minutes and contributed 24 points, nine rebounds, nine assists, one steal, and one block.
Despite Kyrie Irving’s game-high 43 points, the Mavericks fell to 5-5, as Maxi Kleber (who had missed seven games due to a right hamstring strain) was cleared to play but did not feature in the game.
