Real Madrid, who have one of the largest budgets in the world, has made the decision to not include any revenue for the FIFA World Club Cup the next year “because there is no precise information on the subject.”

Real Madrid is waiting around and has even hinted that they would not participate in the 32-team fiesta next year because so many facets of the CWC are shrouded in, including training sites, sponsors, and broadcasters.

The club gave its members their 2024–25 predictions, but there were two financial snags: the club’s disagreement with locals over holding concerts at the Santiago Bernabeu and the uncertainty surrounding the 32-team Club World Cup next summer.

Not mentioned are the revenue sources from the competition and performances at the recently renovated Santiago Bernabeu. It cost €1.76 billion ($1.91 billion) to renovate the stadium. Starting in 2019, the refurbishment project took four years to finish. Interest is included in the entire cost, and the stadium should be paid for by 2053.

The Athletic claims that the financial statements indicate that turnover has for the first time surpassed €1.043 billion ($1.113 billion), however there is an asterix attached.

For the 2024–25 fiscal year, Madrid has planned €1.13 billion in total revenues, up €54.7 million from 2023–24. With an estimated yearly budget of €362.1 million, the club has experienced a 14% increase in earnings due to their stadium.
