The relationship between Manchester United and Ruud van Nistelrooy officially ended after the appearance of Ruben Amorim.
Van Nistelrooy ended his short tenure with an unbeaten run of four games, the last of which was a three -goal win over Leicester City in round 11 of the Premier League.
More importantly, the team’s spirit has changed positively. Manchester United are now full of confidence, scoring regularly , and are excited to welcome new coach Ruben Amorim.
However, the former Dutch striker will not join Amorim’s team as expected. Amorim has always respected Van Nistelrooy but wants to work with his own staff.
Not only Ruud van Nistelrooy, assistants Rene Hake, Jelle ten Rouwelaar and Pieter Morel also left Manchester United to make way for Amorim’s new team.
An official statement from Manchester United read: ” Manchester United can confirm that Ruud van Nistelrooy has left the club. He returned in the summer and has led the team in the last four matches as interim manager.
Ruud has always been and will always be a Manchester United legend. We are grateful for his contribution and the way he has handled his role throughout his time at the club. Old Trafford will always welcome him back.”
At this time, the victory over Leicester City cannot help Manchester United improve their position on the rankings , when the Red Devils are temporarily still in 13th place, however, the gap with fourth place Arsenal is only 4 points.
