Ruben Amorim has arrived at Carrington to officially take on his role as the new leader of Manchester United

On Monday afternoon, Ruben Amorim arrived at Manchester United’s Carrington training complex to officially take over as the club’s manager. Amorim was appointed as Erik ten Hag’s successor on November 1, following the Dutchman’s dismissal late last month.

Although United had triggered his release clause, Sporting Lisbon only allowed Amorim to depart after their dramatic 4-2 win over Braga on Sunday. A statement from United confirmed that their new head coach left for Manchester early Monday morning on a flight from Beja Airport in Portugal.

Upon his arrival at Carrington, United’s CEO, Omar Berrada, warmly greeted Amorim with a hug.

Technical director Jason Wilcox and sporting director Dan Ashworth were also present to welcome the new manager, as seen in the pictures below. Amorim will make his managerial debut for United on November 24 when the team faces Ipswich Town at Portman Road, managed by Kieran McKenna.

With less than two weeks to prepare, Amorim will be working quickly to ready the team for the match.

However, due to visa requirements, Amorim will be unable to directly oversee the team’s training sessions, according to a recent report by The Peoples Person.
