A 19-year-old Real Madrid starlet retires early because of injury complications, leaving a trail of heartbreak

Sad news: a Real Madrid starlet has to quit early at age 19 because of problems with an injury

After getting hurt in a UEFA Youth League game between Celtic and Real Madrid more than two years ago, Los Blancos Marc Cucalon has had to end his potential football career too soon. He is only 19 years old.

The young midfielder tore his ACL against Celtic. While he was in surgery, a bacteria got into the cartilage of his joint and gave him a rare and extremely dangerous.

Because he is still having trouble working out and because doctors have told him his is not good, Cucalon has decided to hang up his boots and focus on his recovery.

Cucalon was a young player that Juvenil A coach Alvaro Arbeloa had a lot of dreams for. He was known as the “Xabi Alonso of La Fabrica.” In fact, the club legend made the kid manager of his U-19 team for the 2022–23 season.

He shouldn’t have been able to play again for six to nine months because of the injury, but a bacteria he caught during the surgery made things more difficult because it hurt his joint.
