Bruno Fernandes has been praised after coming to the aid of a passenger experiencing a medical emergency on an EasyJet flight.
Traveling with his teammate Diogo Dalot, the Manchester United midfielder was on his way from Manchester to Lisbon as part of the Portugal squad, preparing for a Nations League match against Poland.
During the flight, Fernandes stepped in when a passenger appeared to be unwell and seemed to be on the verge of passing out.
According to Susanna Lawson, a fellow passenger heading to a web summit, she and others at the back of the plane heard a sudden cry for help.
Upon turning around, they saw the man, who seemed to be fainting, in Bruno’s care.
Though it wasn’t clear if the man fully lost consciousness, another witness mentioned that he appeared to be sick. Flight attendants quickly rushed to the back to assist, and Bruno helped the passenger to a spare seat, ensuring he was comfortable until further assistance arrived.
