France coach Didier Deschamps expresses frustration, saying, ‘Please leave him alone’ in response to questions about Mbappe’s absence

Didier Deschamps, the coach of France, is tired of people asking why Mbappe isn’t there.

The attention is always on Kylian Mbappé, even when he is not playing for France.

Didier Deschamps, the coach of France, was questioned Wednesday about his decision to leave the Real Madrid forward out of his team ahead of a crucial Nations League encounter against Israel in Paris.

During the news conference, Deschamps initially made a joke about how he had anticipated the subject being asked.

Then, quickly returning to his serious demeanor, Deschamps sidestepped a dispute.

Deschamps answered, “Listen, I told you what I told you.” “You can talk and understand that as you see fit. Tomorrow, I have a game with twenty-three people. Please don’t bother Kylian; he’s not here.

Additionally, Mbappé missed the previous France meeting due to a slight injury to his thigh. He’s not hurt this time, but he’s having form issues.

Since joining Madrid this summer from PSG, Mbappé’s performances have fallen short of expectations in recent weeks. A global slump in the Spanish club’s performance has coincided with his difficulties adjusting to the style of play of his new team.

Since June, Mbappé has not increased his total of 48 goals for France.

Last week, Deschamps did not go into detail about his decision to bench Mbappé, but he did state that it had nothing to do with recent rumors in Swedish media that the former Paris Saint-Germain player was being investigated for. The reports have been dismissed as “false and irresponsible” by Mbappé’s officials.

After a home match against Israel, France will go to Italy three days later. After four games, Italy is one point ahead of France in the group rankings. Israel is in third place, followed by Belgium.
