Jude Bellingham claims he has ‘returned to smiling’

After the interim England manager’s final game in charge, Jude Bellingham says he’s “got his smile back” as the Real Madrid player delivers an emotional farewell letter to Lee Carsley.

Jude Bellingham claimed to have “got his smile back” after assisting England in returning to the UEFA Nations League’s top division.

With just one goal in his first 13 games for Real Madrid, the Spanish champions, Bellingham has had a challenging start to the season.

After a heartbreaking summer as a member of the England team that was defeated by Spain to win Euro 2024, Bellingham had a difficult start to the club season.

But on Sunday night, Bellingham was back to his best, contributing two assists to England’s 5-0 victory over the Republic of Ireland at Wembley.

Before being replaced by Thomas Tuchel in January, interim manager Lee Carsley played his final game in control of the team.

Bellingham posted a 25-word parting message to Carsley on Instagram following the game.
