‘A lot of players slipped’ – Ronald Koeman declines to comment on Joshua Zirkzee’s performance after the Manchester United star struggled to make an impact in the Netherlands’ draw

Netherlands head coach Ronald Koeman wasn’t inclined to discuss Joshua Zirkzee’s lackluster showing following his team’s 1-1 draw with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Playing as the No.10 to support Brian Brobbey, the Manchester United forward was part of a revamped Dutch lineup at Bosnia’s Bilino Polje Stadium.

Although Germany had already clinched the top spot in Group A3 of the Nations League, the Dutch were determined to grab three points after a challenging year.

The game began well for the Netherlands as Ajax forward Brobbey opened the scoring in the first half, heading in Noa Lang’s precise cross.

However, Bosnia fought back in the second half, equalizing through Ermedin Demirovic, who converted on a rebound after Edin Dzeko’s shot was saved by Mark Flekken.

Despite the Netherlands’ efforts to reclaim the lead, they had already secured a quarter-final spot after a decisive 4-0 win over Hungary earlier in the week.

Bosnia’s relegation had also been sealed, following a heavy 7-0 loss to Germany on Saturday.
