Despite his injury, Jude Bellingham carries Fran García around the pitch to celebrate

A great Bellingham

There were many changes and many highlights during Real Madrid’s trip to Butarque. Injuries have affected the white team’s defence, forcing Carlo Ancelotti to make some surprising decisions. Federico Valverde has been selected at right-back, which of course means he has lost much of the quality that he usually brings to the team’s overall effort. However, with his attacking and defensive abilities, he could be a reliable temporary solution in that tricky position.

It to be seen whether he can bring security and depth to the squad. At right-back, Asencio has shown that he is up to the challenge. Offensively, we have seen a positional reversal between Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius, with the Frenchman often occupying the left flank. Whether this adjustment is permanent will be tested at Anfield.

However, the man of the match was Bellingham. He was brilliant in every aspect. His presence was remarkable, linking the lines with his precise and quick dribbles. True to form, he also got involved defensively; in fact, the opening goal came after an Englishman stole the ball. It looked like Jude was back at his best.
