Bellingham receives a significant award.
Jude Bellingham, a midfielder for Real Madrid, received recognition during an outstanding 2023–2024 campaign.
After scoring 19 goals and dishing out six assists in 28 appearances for Real Madrid, Bellingham was named the 2023–24 season’s Best Player at the Premios AFE (Spanish Football Players’ Association) awards ceremony on November 25.
“Thank you for voting for me as the AFE player of the season, I am very proud of this,” Bellingham wrote on the club’s website.
Along with the aforementioned championship, Bellingham won numerous other notable honors in the previous year, such as the Golden Boy Award 2023, which recognizes the top player in Europe under the age of 21, and the Laureus Award for Breakthrough Player of the Year 2024. This demonstrates how Bellingham’s exceptional talent over the previous year has been acknowledged.
After spending over 100 million euros to move from Dortmund to Real Madrid in the summer of 2023, Bellingham immediately established himself as a valuable member of coach Carlo Ancelotti’s team. In addition to scoring goals, the English midfielder helped Real Madrid win both the La Liga and the Champions League the previous season.
Bellingham lost his outstanding scoring prowess in the 2024–2025 campaign. The England midfielder has been forced to drop deeper and assume greater responsibility for playmaking as a result of Kylian Mbappe’s participation. This season, he has only managed to score two goals across all competitions, both in La Liga. In the Champions League, Bellingham has only contributed one assist.
