Manchester United fans are calling for Ruben Amorim to SELL Lisandro Martinez immediately, citing his repeated struggles in aerial duels, which were on full display during the defeat to Nottingham Forest

Manchester United fans have voiced their frustration with Lisandro Martinez after the team’s 3-2 home defeat to Nottingham Forest, their sixth Premier League loss of the season. The match began poorly for United as Nikola Milenkovic capitalized on a corner to score, although Rasmus Hojlund equalized for the hosts.

However, the second half unraveled for United, with Morgan Gibbs-White regaining the lead for Forest and Chris Wood’s looping header making it 3-1. While Bruno Fernandes scored to narrow the gap, it wasn’t enough to salvage the game.

Fans took to social media to criticize Martinez, particularly for his involvement in two of Forest’s goals. He struggled to defend against Milenkovic during the set-piece and later misjudged the ball after Wood’s header sailed over Andre Onana.

One fan wrote, “Martinez has to go. He’s so poor,” while another added, “I now see how inadequate Lisandro Martinez is when defending corners.”

Martinez, a £57 million signing by Erik ten Hag in the summer of 2022 with 77 appearances to his name, has faced increased criticism for his recent performances. With Manchester United currently in 13th place in the Premier League, the pressure is building ahead of their upcoming clash with cross-town rivals Manchester City next Sunday.
