Ruben Amorim, the new manager of Manchester United, is currently staying at the luxurious Lowry Hotel in Salford, Greater Manchester, a popular spot previously frequented by stars like Rita Ora and Lady Gaga. The five-star hotel is conveniently located near Old Trafford, home of Manchester United.
Amorim, the 39-year-old Portuguese coach, is transported from the hotel to United’s Carrington training ground in the early mornings via a black people carrier.
His stay at the Lowry is reminiscent of his friend and former teammate, José Mourinho, who spent an impressive 895 days there during his time as United’s manager. However, unlike Mourinho, Amorim is not expected to rack up a £500,000 bill.
It’s believed that Amorim has already begun searching for a permanent home in Manchester to settle down with his wife, Maria João Diogo, and their two children.
A source from United shared, “Amorim wants to bring his family over and establish a home.” The Hale and Bowdon area, where United’s captain Bruno Fernandes and many players live, has been mentioned as a potential location for his new home, as it’s only a short drive from the training ground.
While he’s still at the Lowry for now, Amorim has been seen strolling around the city and enjoying coffee at local spots. The source also mentioned that he may run into Manchester City players or even Pep Guardiola, who live nearby.
