Man Utd are ready to let Marcus Rashford leave in 2025 due to concerns about the English striker’s off-field lifestyle.
According to the Telegraph , the Old Trafford team has put Rashford on the list of players to be sold from the summer of 2024 and is still accepting offers.
The “Red Devils” are said to be concerned about Rashford’s off-field lifestyle, believing that he is no longer as focused on football as before.
Some other sources also said that Rashford is facing some personal problems, affecting his performance on the field.
Rashford was fined two weeks’ wages in January for partying too much at a party in Belfast and then calling in sick, leading to his omission from the starting line-up for the FA Cup tie against Newport County. He was previously dropped from the starting line-up for the game against Wolves on 26 December 2022 for “internal disciplinary reasons”. Both incidents occurred under manager Erik ten Hag.
Rashford is still expected to make a difference under new manager Ruben Amorim, having scored three goals in five games since the Portuguese arrived in November.
However, time is running out for Rashford and United need the 27-year-old to show his determination and desire to improve.
The fact that Man Utd were looking for a potential buyer for Rashford before the start of the season shows how unhappy they were with him. After signing a new contract in July 2023, making him one of the club’s highest earners alongside Casemiro, Rashford has fallen off the radar. The Carrington striker has not even been called up to England for Euro 2024.
