Real Madrid, dressed in elegant black suits, traveled to Lusail Stadium to face Pachuca in the Intercontinental Cup final

Pachuca, a Mexican team, beat Al Ahly of Egypt 6-5 on penalties to reach the final of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup. The semi-final match, played at Stadium 974 in Doha, Qatar, ended in a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes.

Although Al Ahly had better ball possession and more shots on target (5 vs 3), neither team could find the back of the net in regulation time.

The penalty shootout saw four misses from both teams, with Khaled Abdel Fattah (Al Ahly) hitting the crossbar in the decisive spot-kick, handing Pachuca the win.

Speaking after the match, Pachuca coach Guillermo Almada said: “It was a very difficult match, especially because of the fatigue from the long match. We will try to help the players recover and enter the final with the highest determination.”

With this victory, Pachuca will face Real Madrid, who are already in the final as European champions. The match will take place early next Thursday morning at Lusail Stadium, the venue for the 2022 World Cup final between France and Argentina.

Pachuca are having an impressive year , including winning the Concacaf Champions Cup after a 3-0 win over Columbus Crew in June and beating Brazilian & South American champions Botafogo 3-0 in the previous round of the Intercontinental Cup.

This memorable journey continues with the historic final against Real Madrid , where Pachuca will try to pull off a big surprise.
