Mbappe shines, Real Madrid defeat Sevilla in round 18 of La Liga
Young star Kylian Mbappe both scored and assisted to contribute greatly to Real Madrid’s 4-2 victory over Sevilla in round 18 of La Liga. This victory helped coach Ancelotti’s team surpass Barca to take second place in the league standings.

Real Madrid won 4-2 against Sevilla in La Liga in a and exciting match. The home team completely dominated the match from the first minutes.
In the 10th minute, Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring for Real Madrid with an unstoppable shot from outside the box, after a sharp pass from Rodrygo. Sevilla tried to but could not create many dangerous opportunities.
In the 20th minute, Federico Valverde doubled the gap for the home team with a beautiful long-range shot into the top right corner of the goal after an assist from Eduardo Camavinga, making the score 2-0.
It did not stop there, in the 34th minute, Rodrygo continued to score to make it 3-0. He fired a shot from the edge of the penalty area into the roof of the net after an accurate pass from Lucas Vazquez, leaving the Sevilla goalkeeper unable to block it.
Sevilla did not give up and scored a goal to reduce the score in the 35th minute. Isaac Romero accurately headed Juanlu Sanchez’s beautiful lob, past goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. However, they still could not erase the gap between the two teams.
In the second half, Brahim Diaz scored the fourth goal for Real Madrid in the 53rd minute after a smart assist from Mbappé, making the score 4-1. Sevilla got their second goal in the 86th minute through Dodi Lukebakio, but the score remained 4-2 until the end of the match.
The victory helped Real Madrid move up to second place in La Liga, just one point behind Atletico Madrid, while they are already two points ahead of arch-rivals Barcelona and still have a game in hand.
