Mbappé is now the third-fastest player this century to score 10 La Liga goals for Real Madrid, achieving the milestone in 16 matches.
Jude Bellingham holds the record, scoring 10 La Liga goals in just 10 appearances during his remarkable debut season with the club. Cristiano Ronaldo, the all-time top scorer for Real Madrid, accomplished this in 13 La Liga matches.
Mbappé could have reached this milestone one game earlier but missed a penalty against Athletic Bilbao. Since that miss, the 26-year-old has scored in four consecutive matches to finish December strong. He also achieved the feat of scoring and assisting in consecutive games for the first time in his brief tenure at Real Madrid.
Currently, Mbappé ranks third in the La Liga scoring chart this season. The French international leads his team with 10 goals, only behind Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski (16) and Raphinha (11) in the overall Pichichi standings.
In total, across all competitions, Mbappé has netted 14 goals in 24 appearances. While he may still be striving to regain his previous form, he appears to be on track to fulfill the expectations surrounding his transfer.
