Salah – The top scorer, the top assister, the king of Liverpool

Salah – top scorer, assist king, Liverpool’s king

As Liverpool head into Christmas at the top of the Premier League, one name stands out above all others: Mohamed Salah.

With an outstanding performance in the 6-3 win over Tottenham in round 17 of the Premier League early on December 23, Salah not only cemented his place in the history of the tournament but also affirmed that he is the decisive factor in Liverpool’s journey to conquer the title this season.

The victory over Tottenham helped Liverpool maintain a 4-point gap with the team below, and also brought a new milestone in Salah’s illustrious career. The Egyptian striker scored twice, assisted twice, and broke three Premier League records on a memorable evening.

Salah became the first player in the history of the tournament to reach 10 goals and 10 assists before the Christmas break. Salah is also the only player to achieve this feat in six different seasons, surpassing the record of five seasons held by legendary Wayne Rooney. This is also the sixth season that Salah has both scored and assisted over 10 goals – an unprecedented achievement in Premier League history.

Salah’s importance in the Liverpool squad is not just in the numbers. Whenever the team is in trouble, he always knows how to create special moments to turn the game around.

Since the beginning of the season, Salah has directly contributed to 26 goals in just 16 Premier League matches – an overwhelming number. His impressive form has not only brought Liverpool to the top of the rankings but also made competitors wary.
