Ronaldo and his family celebrated Christmas at Santa Claus’s home in Lapland, going shirtless and swimming in a lake in -8°C weather

Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is currently enjoying a fun-filled holiday with his family in Lapland, Finland. The Portuguese legend has been sharing memorable moments from his trip via videos on his YouTube channel, including a special moment when he met Santa Claus.

 

“Today is a very special and different day because we met Santa Claus,” Ronaldo shared.

In a short clip posted on his X account, the 39-year-old is also seen diving into a freezing pool amid snow flurries. The 10-minute video features Ronaldo, his girlfriend, Georgina Rodríguez, and their children.

 

 

“For me, it was a very special moment because it was time we normally don’t have together,” he shared, reflecting on the family vacation.

Ronaldo and his family even went straight to Lapland, considered the homeland of Santa Claus. This area, located in Northern Finland, is experiencing winter with temperatures down to -8 degrees Celsius. However, the cold does not discourage tourists who are eager to enjoy the special Christmas atmosphere in the place where the legend of Santa Claus originated.

The photos Ronaldo and his girlfriend Georgina shared on social media show the exciting atmosphere of the whole family. Ronaldo smiled like a child when he saw his children playing, running and excitedly writing letters to Santa Claus to wish for the gifts they dreamed of.

It is known that at the place where Ronaldo’s family traveled, the North Pole area goes through the “Christmas village” and there is an area marked with a white line to let visitors know that they have officially entered the North Pole. This is a very popular check-in spot for tourists, attracting many people to take pictures.

Lapland has a number of fascinating tourist attractions to explore. Santa Park is always crowded with tourists because it is considered Santa’s “private home”, with his office where visitors can visit and take pictures with him. Even outside of the Christmas season, the area is still interesting, especially when the aurora borealis appears, creating a rare magical scene.
