Ex-Manchester United winger Nani recently enjoyed a heartwarming breakfast with his former manager Sir Alex Ferguson in Portugal, a moment that is sure to evoke fond memories for United supporters. Nani shared a post on X featuring a photo of the two catching up over coffee, reminiscing about their time together at Old Trafford. Sir Alex Ferguson famously brought Nani to Manchester United in 2007 for £21 million from Sporting CP.

This reunion came just 10 days after Nani announced his retirement from football at the age of 38, following a final stint with his hometown club Estrela Amadora.

The post read: “Delicious breakfast – this time in Portugal – with the great and special company of Sir Alex Ferguson. Amazing time, great memories. See you again soon, Boss.”

Nani was an integral part of Ferguson’s Manchester United team in the late 2000s, earning a special place in the hearts of fans. Signed by Ferguson in June 2007 for £21 million, Nani quickly became known for his dazzling skills, including his remarkable long-range goals and flashy tricks on the ball.

Over his eight-year tenure at the club, Nani scored 41 goals in 230 appearances, helping the team win four Premier League titles, two League Cups, and the Champions League in his debut season.

He returned on loan to Sporting in the 2014/15 season before leaving United permanently to join Fenerbahce the following year.
