Wolves delivered a shock Boxing Day knockout as Manchester United’s struggles continued.

The 2-0 defeat means Ruben Amorim has won just two of the seven Premier League games he has overseen.

Bruno Fernandes was sent off for two yellow cards, and Andre Onana was beaten directly from a Matheus Cunha corner. United now sit 14th in the table, hindered by Fernandes’ red card and Onana’s mistake.

HARRY MAGUIRE: 6 The England defender worked hard to keep United in the game during long periods of pressure. He helped stem the tide until the dying seconds and had a header on target in stoppage time.

LISANDRO MARTINEZ: 6 Partnered well with Maguire to prevent Wolves from winning more comfortably. He stood firm and made crucial challenges late in the game before Wolves caught him on the break.

NOUSSAIR MAZRAOUI: 5 Tenacious but struggled against Cunha, the standout player on the pitch.

MANUEL UGARTE: 5Dispossessed too easily at times and struggled against a lively Wolves attack. He was substituted following Fernandes’ red card.
