Ja Morant is currently sidelined with a right AC joint sprain.
The Memphis Grizzlies star is recognized as one of the NBA’s top point guards when healthy, but his availability has been a challenge over the past two seasons. After playing just nine games last season, Morant started this year with a 25-game suspension. He then suffered a season-ending shoulder injury shortly after his return, missing nearly all of last year.
While he has managed to avoid significant injuries this season, Morant has participated in only 20 of the Grizzlies’ 36 games. The recent AC joint sprain has kept him out for the last four games.
Following the Grizzlies’ loss to the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night, head coach Taylor Jenkins provided an update on Morant’s condition prior to the game.
