Real Madrid’s ‘second XI’Deportiva Minera 5-0 in Copa del Rey

Carlo Ancelotti rested most of his big stars but Real Madrid still comfortably fourth-tier Deportivo Minera 5-0 to reach the last 16 of the Copa del Rey.

Stars Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, Aurelien Tchouameni and Ferland Mendy all started on the bench. Ancelotti gave 17-year-old centre-back Diego Aguado his debut, playing alongside his brother Lorenzo. Young stars Endrick, Brahim Diaz and Arda Guler also got a rare start up front for Real. But it took the visitors just four minutes to score when Federico Valverde volleyed into the net. Eduardo Camavinga headed in his second after 12 minutes, and a counter saw Guler add a third in the 28th minute.
