The nominees for the EA SPORTS FC Team of the Year for both men and women have been announced, featuring numerous high-profile players.

Revealed on Monday afternoon, the shortlist includes over 200 names, with fan voting open until Sunday, January 12.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Jude Bellingham have been nominated for EA SPORTS FC’s Men’s Team of the Year, while Lauren James, Aitana Bonmati, and Alexandra Popp are shortlisted for the women’s team

 

 

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, perennial award favorites, are included in the men’s list, which showcases an array of talent.

The men’s attackers shortlist comprises 31 names, featuring Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe, as well as Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres and Barcelona’s young star Lamine Yamal.

Yamal, who shone at Euro 2024 with Spain, is joined by fellow midfielder Rodri, the Ballon d’Or winner leading the midfield nominations.

In defense, notable choices include Virgil van Dijk and Antonio Rudiger, while Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez, an Argentina World Cup winner, is one of seven goalkeeping options.
