Vinicius receives a two-match suspension following a red card for his ƈonfrontation with the goalkeeper

Vinicius Jr has been handed a two-match suspension for violent behavior during Real Madrid’s 2-1 LaLiga victory over Valencia on Friday.

He received a red card for slapping Valencia goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski in the second half at Mestalla, with his team down 1-0 at the time.

Following the club’s appeal, the RFEF has imposed the two-game ban, but he will be available for Thursday’s Super Cup match against Mallorca.

Real Madrid, currently leading LaLiga with 43 points, aims to defend their Super Cup title in the upcoming four-team tournament in Saudi Arabia.

In the meantime, they advanced in the Spanish cup with a 5-0 away win against lower-league Deportivo Minera.
